Pleased to meet you, my name is Gisele Andrade
Allow me to humbly tell you a bit about my own story
Historical fiction writer, born in Brazil, more specifically in the city of Duque de Caxias in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the first year of the last decade of the last century of the second millennium d.C. (also called 1990), the result of a long marriage between a seamstress and a shopkeeper.
I had this bad idea of falling in love with words and telling too imaginative stories as soon as I learned my first letters. Later on, I was not satisfied with writing words in Portuguese only so the English language came as my second passion in life.
My love for different cultures, Geography and History made me start studying International Relations at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2009. For this reason, the plots of my stories are prone to be set in historical scenarios (I include recent past with strong Historical significance into that list).
Mostly thankful to God for giving me reasons to live and keep writing in spite of the ups and downs every body goes through in life. He has given me a loving family and a supportive husband who believes in my talent.
In my narratives, the struggles of my characters are more important than historical events itself. I aim to bring my readers a good moment with reflexion, smiles and, tears because literature can also be a remidy to souls.
